I bought a 96' TSi AWD 5spd about a week ago. It's mostly all stock.

All free mods

Intake with K&N

Re-built motor, fresh t-belt

New stock clutch

T-25

BOV Exhaust (Dump Tube) mod

Other than that.....All stock. I have drivin many 2G turbo's before and this one doesn't seem all stock. It boost's alot higher than normal. Pulls faster, pulls harder, spools quicker and longer. It just seems alot faster than normal.

I am hoping to be around a mid to low 14...I know I can drive well. So I guess we will find out Wednesday.

Good luck bro let us know how it goes, not to say it can't be done but but do you really think you can make a mid/low 14. I mean with my mods and I am a decent driver(had a 2.1 60ft) i ran a 14.6. Either way let us know what happens.

Every car is different. My best friend ran a 14.6 in his 96 GST with an air filter and UICP w/ 1G BOV. That's it. I say that with the mods on the car that with good driving I expect some high 14's. The major thing holding him back now is the 2G UICP and BOV.

well I realize that, I am just saying not that it won't happen for him to net mid/low 14's just that it seems a little out of reach.

Yeah thinking about it I think it will be around there. Plus the track I am going to isn't the best track in the world either. We will see how it turns out. I'll let you guys know tommorrow.

The biggest thing is the driver, I dropped .4 with just improved driving. good luck and let us know how it goes :thumb:

well if your 1/4 time is for the car with those mods ... ill perdict you cant drive :thumb:

hopefully its not .

My car went 12.9 at 110.8 first time out on my new setup (20psi and pump gas) so obviously I can't drive ;)

I got some bugs worked out so my ET will come down this friday.

Well I didn't do too bad. Could of done better.

Ran 4 times. All 15.0xx

Fastest Run:

R/T... .227
60... 2.031
330... 6.142
1/8... 9.595
MPH... 71.32
1000... 12.548
1/4... 15.056
MPH... 87.64

Second Fastest Run

R/T... -.040 (red lighted)
60... 2.059
330... 6.213
1/8... 9.659
MPH... 71.93
1000... 12.595
1/4... 15.067
MPH... 87.82

Others are mostly identical. I wanted to dip into the 14's so bad tho. But I guess I can't complain for stock...Any special info you guys might want to share well be greatly appreciated :thumb:

A better 60' would have gotten you into the 14's, ohh well maybe next time.

Your MPH seems abit low, have you done a general tune up and all that good stuff lately?

Running at the track sure is a humbling experience though isn't it? ;)

are you still on the stock clutch?? and what were you launching at?

EDIT: oh ya what were you shifting at?

Stock Clutch. Launching around 5500-5600. Shifting around 6500. What should I change?

At that high on the tach, your T25 is already running out of steam - you'd probably do better if you launched around 4-4500rpm, and shifted around somewheres around 6000, just to keep within the efficiency range.

Oh, not to mention that launching that high is definitely not healthy for your clutch. ;)

Sounds good. I was told differently. Plus I have been trying to get used to AWD still. I already have a couple things to bolt on. Once those are done. I will go back next week.
Then mid 14's here I come...maybe faster?

I think the biggest thing is gettin gused to the awd, even though you seem to have the hang of it somewhat by pulling of 2.0 60ft's your first time out. As for shifting I always shift my car between 6200-and 6500 seems to net the best results. After the bolt ons mid 14's for sure.

Once I get the FULL feel and master AWD...Then I should be set by pulling some better 60 foots. And I will try shifting around 6000-6400 to find my range. I can't wait. :D

:thumb: Welcome to the dark side. :talon:

ya you need to run ryan tonight with the 00' radian SER he pulled a 15.02 in street condition so it should be a good match up. Not bad for a stock SER

Hey man you can get a low 14 out of it. I got a 98 talon and with the stock block, all i have is a 3" exh. and a hks b.o.v. Other than that its stock, i used c-16 cuz my friend blew up his engine a week prior and gave me the left over. but thats what helped, just cuz i could pull some timing with the c-16.
.918 r/t
2.105 60ft
9.058 1/8
79.49 1/8 mph
14.115 1/4 et
96.61 1/4 mph
