Taking out my cat

So I've done a few minor upgrades to my car (91 talon) most recent was boost gauge and a boost controller...

....so its been in the garage for around 2 months "JSB " and I just fired it up the other day...and now I am getting a huge rattle noise around my cat when I reach 3500 RPM... and looking at it my cat vibrates like a mother.. So I figured I would take it out..

...sounds like a pretty simple task..BUT when I take out the cat do I just weld another piece in there? and straight pipe it...or is there a piece I buy?

Get a bolt on Test pipe

You can buy a test pipe online to go in place of the cat, or have a exhaust shop fab you up one if you have all the measurements you need. length, size etc.

Are you sure it's not the heat shield on the cat. They will rattle like crazy when they are loose.
