tail lights staying on!

ok so i just recently moved my battery to the back of the car, the diagram shows exactly what i did. all the wires are new and all the conections are 100% snug and clean.

now this was a project car and it dint come with a battery, now that i put the battery in after doing the battery mod to the back....when i connect the positive wire to the battery, the darn tail lights stay on even if the key is not in and the switch is off. what could cause this to happen???? i hate eletrical !

Well first pull the taillight relay to see if that's the problem.

Stop light switch mounted on the brake pedal.

^^^ Yes that's a very good posibility if it's the stop lights that are on and not just the normal taillights.

I was also going to suggest the brake switch, they're typically adjustable toward and away from the pedal.

i would also say try to pull out the fuse and put it back in. i had a similar problem. a sitch of the fuse and it was good to go. if not like you said, electircal, i hate it too! good luck!
