t3 housing vs FP dsm housing. i was wondering if there are any power loses using the fp hta gt3586r bb turbo verses the fp hta dsm86 bb turbo, i have been trying to find any valuable info on these two exhaust housings but i havent found anything, thanks........

ok so the t3 is a better flowing tubine housing but how can i get at hta gt3586r turbo to work with the fp manifold. Is it possible i could weld a flange for the tial waste gate on one of the runners on the fp manifold or if there is a turbine housing i could buy and swap out with the one fp gives.

Just stick with the stock fitment. So much less hassle. A full T3 could net a little bit more power when the turbo is pushed hard, but you'll trade it for reliability. A cast fp manifold and turbo will last forever, where a tublular header will crack in a short time.

The FP DSM86 is what you would want to be able to maintain the FP exhaust manifold. The weight savings of not going with a t3 tubular manifold along with the assurance that the cast manifold will never crack like bastardsm said.
Thats the turbo i'll be picking up this winter when I rebuild.

Unless you can get the T3 in twin scroll, go for the plug and play. The 2g, E3, and FP manifold have all made lots of power.

Another option is to look for a cast t3 manifold such as this one.

4G63 Eclipse, Evo, Cast Turbo Manifold - Modern Automotive Performance

That would pretty much solve your price and cracking issues associated with most t3 manifold options.
but since its not tubular, would it be worth the tradeoff in manifold flow to get a bit more compressor housing flow? Lots of questions, for a not so big hp or spool difference.
Whats that few extra hp worth to have the T3?

With the T3 option you still have to address your O2 housing and exhaust fitment questions.

I think you'd be happiest with the dsm housing.
