Hopefully you guys can help me decide which one I should go with. Does anyone know the spool times for both of these ? I plan on doing a 2.3 stroker a couple months after i get a turbo, so would a 3065 be better for me. That means that I will have to run a 3065 on a 2.0 for a while, but will that be OK ? Also, if you ran one of these turbos, what did you think of it ? Thanks

Careful, the Search Nazi's will be after you

In the end you're goign to have to spend more money to do the 3052 or 65 because of the Vband... Meaning you're going to have to get a vband WG and a new o2 housing which is another 800 bucks almost... I was in the same delimna you are in and decided to go with the FP Red

does anyone run these turbos ? Can you give me your opinion on it .

then which one would be better on a 2.3 stroker ? Will the 3065 on a 2.3 spool up at the same RPM as the 3052 on a 2.0 ? Anyone running either one of these setups, can you please list your opinions on it. spool, power, and just overall how you like it

Get the 3065, the 3052 is basically (don't attack me FP nazi's) a "50-trim" turbo and that's a tad on the small side for your 2.3l setup. If you call FP they would be more than happy to talk with you about it, and they told me that a 3052/2.3l car is an absolute blast to drive, but I'd say go with the 3065.

How much power are you looking to get? Do you want a "stockish" spooling 500WHP turbo or a bit of lag followed by the mad rush of a 600WHP turbo?

For the 3065 I've seen posts of 4th gear boost at 4K-4.5K on a stroker and 4.5-5K on a 2.0L.

The 3052 is much smaller and per THIS Thread on a 2.3L 3052 setup
For like 20 psi, its easily under 3500rpms. For 30 its probably up around 37-3800.

I'd expect a 2.0 to achieve same results by 4K.

Note that the above is a sample from my SEARCHING THIS FORUM. Since everyone's engine/supporting mods/tune is different, you cannot give specific numbers.

I now await the "my brother's cousin's sister's boyfriend's 3065 spooled at xxxx RPMs" posts  :dsm:

then if i was to stay with the 2.0, you would recoomand the 3052 ? Will the 3052 still make power at 8000 rpms and do you think I can get 500 whp with 3052, cam, etc ?

You must remember that a number of things will affect when you spool. Your intake manifold, exhaust manifold, size of charge piping, your displacement, and the exhaust housing on your turbo are just a few. Even though I am a newb on this site, I've searched Tuners many times for information such as this. Please use the search engine to further your knowledge. In reality, you probably should have just contacted Forced Performance, since they know their products very well and could help you with any questions or concerns.

ok, so i tried searching and got nothing. Does anyone know the differnce in spoolup time between the 3052 and the 3065 ? If its not that much, it it would be better to get the 3065. Do you think a 3065 on a 2.0 is streetable ?

The 3052 is simply a GT30 CHRA that has the 52lbs/min compressor. The 3065 flows 65lbs/min. It's an easy concept. The Green has a "50-trim" compressor wheel, and the Red has a 60-1.

Read me

Me too

The GT35R, SCM61, and the 3065 all use the same compressor wheel, the difference is in the turbine housings and wheels.

Many have put a 3065 on a 2.0. The term "streetable" can differ person to person, since it's merely an opinion. Again, spoolup will have everything to do with what your supporting mods are. Two engines/builds are not the same.
