T28 in a 1G. Would I be the first?

Now that I have an FPgreen in the Eclipse, I have a ported FPT28, 2G manifold & O2 sensor housing kicking around and a 1992 Eagle Talon TSi AWD with a worn out 14B. So it looks like I've got myself a new project. I'll mix and match the coolant lines, re-use my 2G oil return line, use a new oil supply line from the oil filter housing instead of the head, and modify a lower intercooler pipe. This should cover all the bases. I'll update with pics once done.

Just wondering if anyone else has done this type of swap?
 
oh and I'd just do some bending on the coolant lines and buy a few hoses and make it work like that. Basically do the opposite from installing a 16g into a 2g.
 
I had a small 28 on the blue GSX you can see in my gallery.

My buddy with a '98 GSX went full Garret, so I got a SMOKING deal on his 28. :cool:

I figured that is has been done before, I just hadn't heard of it done on the boards. The midrange punch will be nice for city driving. I got the car for a daily winter driver and was going to leave it stock but I'm already modding it. My god will it ever end? :p
 
Maybe the first one on a 1G, but not the first one on a 6 bolt. I've had my T28 on my six bolt for over a year now. Get a braided stainless oil feed line, and the 2G return line bolts up fine. A little creativity with some hoses and bam, easy work.

Also this thread is a god damned train wreck.
