t25 swap werid vibartion

OK well we finished the swap on my 96 talon tsi. she runs a lot better still trying to get all the bugs out but here is my concern. it shakes my steering wheel bad as it vibrates when its idling even my side mirror shake as my driver window . any one got any thoughts on what could cause this. also how long does the ecu take to reset itself after the swap thanks.

Motor mounts or engine problems will generally cause a shakey idle. I'd start out with checking motor mounts since that's easy. Any CELs?

no cel and my motor mounts are poly urethane mounts. well idles good at 800-900 rpm its just vibrates really bad.

Auto or manual? I've got them in my 3g eclipse and it's not bad at all, but the autos it's horrible in. My 1g will have them soon.

its a manual so your saying that is causing it i bought it with them installed and they are red.WTF

so any thoughts if it is the motor mounts?. any clue

Its is 100% the motor mounts. They reduce wheel hop and your motor bouncing around and shit, but make the interior rattle motor,

so you are saying the is kinda like a double edge sword. i get the redcue whell hope and my motor moving around. but it make my intertior rattle like shit like it even moves my steering wheel unless i have my hand on it?WTF

That's the very definition of stiff motor mounts..the vibration (energy) has to go somewhere.

ahh very good point. but its cool i can live with it i was just wondering so i know it wasnt hurting anything never had these kind of motor mount.so thanks for the info guys
