t25 question...

Ok I built 1g's before... and know what there capable of... i was fooling around with this 2g eclipse on the highway tonight (route 22E)... (its a red eclipse)... and it was pretty fast hung right with me.. it was back and forth.. i mabye inched on it. but still.. .i got a 99 mustang now.. (dont worry im going to build a 1g asap!!! again!) i went 13.9@99 BONe stock and have shit done to it now... with just a cat back i made 240 and 285 wheel hp and trq... now i got full exhaust, t/a, 4.10's and a bunch more.. enough to go mabye 13.5's@ about 103 and make over 250 and 290 to the wheels or soo... i heard t25s at the max can only put like 215 to the wheels... he said it was a stock turbo but i dont think so.. the car sounded liek it sucked SOOO hard... think he said it was stock b/c i got a mustang??? .. but im not dumb. i built plenty of 1g's and love dsms...... so you guys tell me what you think...

You know that car is a full blown,stripped down,tons of nitrous race car....I highly doubt you would run into it on the highway.

i think im ordering a vortec for my car this week... 8-10 psi pulley im sick of getting beat or almost getting beat... 13 seconds isnt cutting it anymore!!!

I have to agree with him the T-25 can defiantly lay down times over 100mph, and it can toss a shit load more hp to the ground than 215. With a boostcontroller, hardpipe,exhaust you can be laying close to 300hp down with the T-25

i had a very close race once with a shady dsmer. i have a evo3 16g and we raced and i pulled but barely. we stopped and he said he was on 11psi with the t25. which from my experience even 20psi on the t25 isnt that fast. who knows, maybe he was running nitrous?

boosted19 im prolly the biggest mustang guy here. you do know on the freeway your 4.1's are killing you at those speeds. they kick ass from light to light or on the strip, but from a roll theyre not the best choice for pulling on the freeway. you can make decent power from a roll on the t25, id say its a capible turbo if you have say the better wastegate actuator and had everything done(fmic, exhaust, intake).

well get that blower on dammit and go have fun with some vettes.

its just not realistic, considering more than half of the evo 16g owners dont put down 300 to the wheels..(as shown by a poll on this site)

According to DSMTimes the fastest T-25(no nitrous) is 102mph.

Also LarryD's old car laid down around 220 to the wheels with all the bolt-ons and 21psi...

Actually when LarryD Dyno'ed his car he went in steps from 15 to 21 and 21psi made the Most power.

im a really big stang fan too had 6 of em... and built 5.0's but this is my first 4.6 and loving every min of it... i actually pull harder with my 410.s on the highway then my 3.27's.. i only have to do a 4th gear drop instead of a recthed 3rd gear.... i feel its alot better rolling now and cruising.. from a stop kinda sucks b/c i have no 1,2 tires just blow... so there not really kiling me on the highway... but then again i never tried 373's or anything on the highway (in a 4.6).. but all im saying is it pulls alot harder on the freeway then my 3.27's did.... i might loose top speed. but i dont drive all that fast...

You can't be serious, are you? I don't see any mods in your list, but if you think you can make 300 whp on a t-25 with those mods, or any bolt on mod period, I think you have been misled. Before I upgraded my turbo I had basically all the bolt ons you could run with a t25 & yes it was quick but there is now way it was making 300whp. I would guess about 260 maybe 270 at the crank. Do some reasearch on these turbo's, they just aren't big enough to flow the kind of air it takes to make that kind of hp. Like has been said anything over 17 psi & your just making heat as it is out of the turbo's effiency range.

As for the origional question, he might be running the t25 but if he was he was heavly modded. I have run a few mustangs, 95 gt (had exhaust) (from a stop) & I pulled the whole time, about a 90 gt that had a bunch of bolt on mods & we were basically even, I pulled slightly(on highway).

95 gts are still 5.0's rated at only 215 hp and 295trq... my 4.6 PI is rated at 260 hp and 302 trq stock... and i make about 300hp and 340 trq. to the (flywheel) now... but i cant really say my guestimate #'s b/c i am not gonna bench race.. so ill let you know the numbers when the new dyno #'s are in... so i dont think a t25 w/o n20 will do it b/c im in the mid to sub 13 range right now... depending on my launch and traction.. im running nittos now tho.... hope fully can crack a 2.0 or less 60'... so with all these post im pretty sure its not a t25... but who cares anymore.. it was fast put it that way!!!

Forgot to mention I've also raced my buddies 97 svt which is 300 from factory and he had a bunch of work, intake, pulleys, complete exhaust, 4.10's, aluminum drive shaft etc. When we raced he did pull on me but not all that much, alot less then I expected. You have to remember that mustangs have a big weight dissadvantage. If he had NOS, then he'd take you. Its really hard to say, guess you'll never know

Do you have any other comparable races? G35 coupe, 350Z? I could take those pretty easy with the t25.
