Okay so Im doing a 1g 7 bolt swap into my 2g gst. I would have went with a 6 bolt, but money was an issue. So I have the 1g motor, but still have the 2g stock t25 turbo. Has anyone ever ran a T25 on a 1g head? Since the heads are way different, am i gonna see a big power loss because of the crappy T25 or not?

It's not going to matter. The heads are not "way" different either. The 1g flows a little better thats it. Why would you see power loss if you are putting in basically the same exact motor anyway?

Well i know that the compression ratio is different, and the intake side of the 1g is much bigger. So the 2g would need less air to produce the same power because of the higher compression, so maybe the T25 has been set up for that, and not for the lower compression of the 1g motor and better flowing head

So you don't think that the lower compression, and higher flowing head meant for a higher flowing turbo wont hurt the perfomance

In the end, the lower compression will hurt a little bit but not much. Higher flowing head is a higher flowing head. Anything that is higher flowing will help perfomance. It will probably be close to whatever you were experiencing with your original engine.

T25 is a piece of crap. Eventually you will want to ditch it for a larger turbo.

deffinitely a piece... I have two friends, one with a 6 bolt 1g, and the other with a 2g, both gsx, and the 1g pulls way harder. And the 2g has full exhaust, 1g was stock.
So i am definitely looking for a 16g, or at least a 14b.
