Swapping a 96 galant auto tranny into a 98 stock spyder, will it work?

Well title says all, will a auto tranny from a 96 4g64 galant fit my 98 spyder gs? My tranny is done as in destroyed, and my engines good, but I am having issues finding a 98 spyder tranny sooooo will it work with the a galant 96-98 tranny?? There both 4g64
