Suspension problems

Ok now that I got my car up and running appropriately (about time) I been driving around breaking in the motor and the suspension seems easy. It seems like it's loose and doesn't handle like a true awd should. I was wandering what I would have to change and or tighten on the suspension to get my car to grab and feel like a new car as best as possible. I know I'll have to get better shocks and struts but what do I go with and best places to get the stuff.

There are multiple answers to your question. What are your plans with the car? Just a daily driver?

Your system is more than likely just worn (car is nearly 20 years old). If you're daily driving it, just go with OEM.

Overall plans are to make the car a cruiser. Like kill back roads and what not. As of right now yes it's a daily driver. But I do not like how it feels at all. It doesn't hug turns like it should and is all over the road. I've already done the tie rods and control arms. But I need to do the again. But any thing else I should do to stiffen the car up and make it feel like she is awd?

Did you get an alignment? That will change the way the car feels drastically.

+1. After replacing worn/broken suspension parts you should get an alignment.

Yea. I did. And it still feels like that :/

Would it be helpful to say I really feel it in the steering wheel?

If you don't plan on doing any sort of road racing such as auto cross just get a nice spring strut combo should be more then enough.

Any suggestions on what brands or who to go through. And that will tighten everything up?
