Some of the info is outdated. Basically sway bars, poly bushings, lsd, ext will improve handling with drag and autox but springs, shocks and tires will be more specific to one or the other. I guess the only thing different is drifters tend to remove rear sway bars to increase body roll but I don't know many who want to drift a 420a. Hope this helps.

im surprised you know any who can drift a 420A since it is FWD.

The above mentioned links should get you going in the right direction. Any decent name brand lowering springs with new/upgraded struts would be my first buys. Reason being, you can see and feel the results immediately. Lowering our rides gives a more aggressive stance and you don't have to pop the hood to showcase it. Just pull up.

After that I would do strut tower braces. Dc2 makes some decent ones for the front a rear. If you're on a budget start with struts first then springs. I can't specifically recall where I read a bit of information, but putting lowering spring on stock-worn struts can cause premature failure. Its logical.

Maybe you can find a good spring and strut combo on sale or a package deal price. 98% of the time you get what you pay for. Cheap price = cheaply made part. Sometimes you can find a killer deal on a reputible brand with enough shopping around, some places today still haggle some.

My brand recommendations would be tein springs and kyb gr2 struts for an everyday ride. Purchasing an expensive setup for DD is overkill IMO. If you got the Cheddar then do it. But if your car will probably never see a track go with struts, sprigs, tower braces front and rear, brake upgrade (slotted rotors, pads) and call it done. IMO for a DD you don't really need anything else to get around town.
That combination right there shouldn't hurt the pocket book too much. I would say ~$1,000 for everything I recommended.

It all depends on your budget. Sway bars, and struts and springs are some of the main pieces. If you can afford coilovers that is the way to go. If not. Good set of struts and springs. Then you cab do the sway bars both front and reAr, and then you can do the camber kits. And also I would prefer dc strut tower bars

I plan on doing kyb gr2s with H&R springs and dc tower bars. Also as far as brakeong if you can get a set of front brakes off of a gsx that will do wonders. The gsx calipers and such bolt right up and they are 2 piston brakes so a huge upgrade from stock.

The Tokico HP kit is a good choice if you are on a budget, great bang for the buck. Comes with the struts and springs and you will achive a nice stance with that set up. As others have mentioned upgrading the front brakes to the gsx dual piston calipers is a nice upgrade. If you go that route I would recommend picking up some ss brake lines, Hawk brake pads, and some new brake fluid.

Drift Session -- Drifting Frequently Asked Questions

Almost anything can drift, however, not everything drifts well. You can not maintain or accelerate through a drift in a FWD. So to answer your question I don't know anyone who can drift a 420A well, but doesn't stop some on the track from pullin their e-brake around the corners. :D
