Suspension Inquiry

So, i bought my Spyder GST a bit ago, realized that i badly need bigger sway bars, and possibly some strut bars. My main question is how do i check what kind of suspension setup i have without pulling off my tires, or do i have to pull of the tires? What should i look for under there as well as what shows sign of needed to be replaced? The suspension seems to be really nice = press down, comes up and stops, so i cant complain there, but the handling is questionable sometimes... thanks for any and all input

I would jack the car up and try moving the wheel in and out and if thers a lot of play I'd think about changing the tie rods and ball joints and it sounds like u have good struts. This summer I juts changed control arms, tie rods, struts and rear wheel bearing hubs and it feels great now. safty first!!! Especially since u have a 2g and the wheels fall off

Well, You could jack it up and crawl under the car and look to see what setup you have. Or you can look in the wheel gap. If the spring/struts are all black they they are stock. Any leaking or damage would be a sign that you would need to replace them.

Awesome thanks for the help. I checked and it looks like i have the stock suspension, which without taking the wheel off i dont know when it was last replaced, but feels good still. only issue i saw though, is the rubber at the top of the suspension where it meets the wheelwell, is starting to really crack. Not sure if thats the suspension itself or just a washer of some sort.
