Been having some surging issues with my 2g Eclipse GS-T. RPM varies from about 400-1100 sometimes when idling. I have been trying to troubleshoot this problem for a while and I have changed IAC valve, MAF sensor, and checked for any leaking vacuum lines which seem to have no issues.
RPM kicked up when I sprayed carburetor cleaner into my blow-off valve (previous owner installed a GReddy type S) so I’m wondering if I need to replace the diaphragm or another part within the BOV?
When I unplug my MAF sensor the surging also goes away so is it likely the issue is coming from the BOV or could it be something else?
I also have a slight fuel smell sometimes and need to do sparks so injectors/spark plugs are on the table, I also hear the PCV valve on these cars goes bad which can cause this.
I appreciate any help I can get, thanks!
