So, because my feed line on the stock sending is rusted and kinked, I will be welding a -6AN fitting to my stock sending unit. From there, I will be running Russell Nylon fuel line all the way to the fuel rail instead of SS braided line since its easier to work with. I would like to gather an entire list on what I will need to perform this install so I do not hit any roadblocks or buy anything I do not need.

With that being said what supplies will I need to complete the install, i.e. type of fittings ect.?

So far this is all I have gathered from multiple threads and searching. I will keep adding on to the list as we go, making it easy for someone wanting to do the same install:

yes please share. As I just bought the 450 walbro and want to know how to adapt an -06an fitting to it

Here is what I recall when I did this. My system was a bit more complicated as I did a feed to a fuel surge tank, and replaced the return as well. I've tried to limit this to just the feed but pardon if I left in a part you don't need in your setup.

1x Russell 640820 female metric to male -AN fitting, M14x1.5 X -6AN
1 x 20ft Russell ProClassic hose PN 632093
2 x -6AN Straight Full Flow Non-Swivel Hose End PN 610023
1 x Fuel Lab 818 Short Fuel Filter -6AN pn 81801
1 x -6AN 90-deg Full Flow Swivel Hose End PN 613163
1 x -6AN 45-deg Full Flow Swivel Hose End PN 613093
1 x STM -6AN Adapter to DSM fuel rail

I ordered everything except the STM part from Summitracing.com. Oh, and you can get line hangers cheap from Lowes. 1" rubber coated ones will do.

I think that about covers it.

Awesome! that looks like everything. Thank you.

I've read that you should use the forged fitting over the tube style actually:

I'm buying the 450 walbro today as well Cornfed4G64! I really want to know how to do this and have been searching all over also.

Isn't this what the stm tank to rail kit does though?

Yes if you are not cutting the stock hard line off. In my case I have to cut the feed line off because its rusted so I needed the elbow fitting, plus I don't need the expensive fuel filter.

EDIT: Just thought of something. I will need an aftermarket fuel filter wont I? Is there any way to use the stock filter with AN fittings? If that is the case, then I mind as well just get the STM kit and buy the other 2 parts that I need. It is actually cheaper.

I can't tell you where to find them but I recall seeing fittings that will thread into the stock fuel filter allowing you to attach AN fittings to it. So they do exist, but hopefully someone can provide details.

That's precisely why I plan to get the tank to rail kit. I can just buy the extra parts because I need the filter anyway. So if that option is also a good way to go then I might as well just take that route. I'm cutting the stock hard line off as well.

Im assuming the piece circled in this picture is the piece that screws onto the stock hard feed line correct? So if I were to weld the AN fitting to the sending unit and use a 90* elbow, I would not need that piece? Or does that piece go to the fuel rail?

There shouldn't be any concern about any flow difference between forged and bent tube type hose ends. In tight areas, forged fittings work great and are sometimes the only option. And there's not much clearance between the pump assembly and the acces panel above it. Any flow difference between the two would be near immeasurable at any reasonable flow rate that you would see on a DSM. If we can run a banjo connection on the fuel filter without issues, then a forged AN fitting is of zero concern.
