Suggested routes to take before start up of my talon

Hello everyone just wanted to get a few peoples opinions on anymore work i should do to my car before i attempt to start her up again. I purchased the car about 3 weeks ago and it is a 95 Talon ESI. It did not run when I bought it so I just decided to replace a bunch of basic stuff to see if she fires up. here is what I have replaced so far:

starter, coil (msd), wires(msd), plugs (ngk v-power), CPS, thermostat, fuel filter and pump, new valve cover gasket,new timing belt, waterpump, tensioner, serpentine belt,drained all oil and now am running royal purple, battery, and have my seafoam waiting for when she starts up...so pretty basic and petty things i just wanted to be sure i wouldnt have to mess with for a lil while...but is there anything else you guys would reccomend? I'm really just wanting to get her runnin good and sound before i think about aftermarket/performance stuff. but any imput would be great. Thanks

From your post it sounds like you have no idea what is wrong with the car? You should of went ahead and pulled the head while you were doing the timing componets( I know you used all O.E.M right? )
This might have gave you some insight and you could of atleast replaced the headgasket and added that to your random parts/prayers list

well I was going to pull the head but when i drained the radiator and everything, there was no milky color or oil in my coolant, and i have nothing milky on my dip stick so i figured the HG was good, and yes i used all oem except for the coil pack, i went with MSD, and i know some people have their own opinions about them so needless to say the prayers part is right ...just trying to get this up and going as my DD so i can continue getting my tsi build done.

the car stopped running a week prior to me buying it because im guessing the starter went bad, turned the ignition and it grinded, and when i pulled the starter it was chewed up and a head of a bolt fell out, come to find out it was a bolt from the tourque converter so i had to replace that

did you inspect the flexplate? Chances are if the strater gear was chewed up the flexplate is too.

i removed the plate that covers everything and from what i could see, no teeth or anything was broken off, and there was no scratches on the plate itself from like anything flying around, but mind you i only was able to see a portion of it, couldnt see it all so thats up in the air too :/

Have somebody rotate the motor by hand. This will do two things 1. ensure the engine spins freely and 2. you can watch to flexplate spin and inspect the rest of the teeth.

thanks for the tip, I had no idea you could spin it by hand, anything else you would suggest?

PLace the car on jackstands( For better access) place the gear selector in nuetral, use a 3/4 drive ratchet and rotate the crank pulley slowly while listening and feeling for any binds/hang ups.Then have somebody do it while you watch the flexplate.
If your sure it ran 3 weeks ago I dont see much else you could do. Its either ganna run now or its not.

Make sure all fluids are full, check for leaks and cobwebs and fire that beast up!

You might want to pull the plugs, turn it over by hand to listen and feel for interference, then turn the engine over on the starter, see if it builds oil pressure, listen for strange noises. Do a compression test if you have a gauge just so you can have a better indication of condition. Throw the plugs in and hopefully drive away!
