Stupid question, is Supra intercooler aluminum?

Does anyone know if the Supra sidemount is aluminum? I want to say YES, but I thought aluminum wasn't magnetic and a magnet sticks to the side of the intercooler...maybe the side is steel? I just need to make sure the bottom portion around the end tank is aluminum so I can make an aluminum end tank and weld it to the IC

It might be a alloy of somesort that gives it a magnetic property but i think its aluminum.. I sure looks like it and tarnishes like aluminum..

Which Supra IC are you referring to?

I thought they had plastic end tanks and aluminum cores...

They are hard plastic with alum cores.

It is the MKIV Supra sidemount. The side has a bracket on it and that side is magnetic...the core and the tabs I believe are aluminum because a magnet does not stick to it. It has plastic end tanks and I am doing to fab a metal end tank for it so I can get the piping higher up off of the ground.
