So I hate the idea of using ebay products on high power builds, but I cant ignore the fact that there prices are sooo low. haha Guess thats what makes me a DSM'er.. Anyways,

Im in search of a cooler core to support 550+whp (im shooting for 600whp) And I cant afford a Spearco, or Garrett or other name brand cooler core. I ran across this godspeed cooler core for $200. Massive. I like it. So apparently its rated to 800HP!!! wow. thats a lot! So I didnt believe it. Started to look at it more, and its starting to make sense. 30x12x4, 3" ports. Thought, 'Yea you can make a big core, but what about pressure drops and efficiency?'...

Ebay- "GODSPEED intercoolers has been known as the most efficient intercooler with a pressure drop of .05kg/cm2 at 1.2kg/cm2 of boost"

So if i run 35psi, ill lose 1.34psi from the cooler core.
Obviously there not the most efficent, but are they really rated top 800hp? Im going to try to call the number on the auction tomorrow to see if they have proven this core. Thoughts Please!!! Heres the link

GODSPEED universal spec-r turbo intercooler fmic 30x12x4 / 3" in&out / 800hp | eBay

Thanks!

~0.75psi drop @ 17psi boost? Thats not exactly great and still seems exceedingly unlikely for a Godspeed product.

That 30" is with endtanks I would wager, and is a half inch thinner than the Garrett core I have. I am shooting for a bit more than 800fwhp and I have my doubts about the one I have which came off a rail dragster running about that much. But I am also going to be running chemical intercooling as well.

For 600whp, it may suffice but I typically would stay away from godspeed anything.

i would stay away from there products too even though the intercoolers are the "best" of there products i would go with proven performance not just claims. theres always a reason products are recommended (ie. spearco garret) havent heard alot of people doing that for godspeed
