Strength of the stock bottom?

Can anybody tell me how much boost the stock bottom end can take or how much HP?

7 bolt 400hp
6 bolt 450hp

Most I've seen from a stock 6 bolt bottom end is 550whp.

Most I've seen from a stock 2g bottom end is 551whp. Then it popped.

Maybe you didn't catch the beating a dead horse comment above.

There is no number placed on stock bottom ends anymore. Those numbers were from back in the 90's before people started to really push the motors reliably. Years ago people said that a stock 7 bolt motor would be bending rods at 400 crank horsepower. Many people, myself included run 400 wheel horsepower, on pump gas, daily with no problems.

Ok... i'll put it this way... what is the most power that anyone has been known to put down on an engine with 2g pistons on 1g rods?
