Strange oil psi issue

Well after a pathetic night at the track (car ran horribly) I now have a rather strange or at least strange to me oil pressure issue. Before i go into detail this is what it looked like from the grandstands when it happened:

Then when me and the track guys popped the hood to access the damage we found this:

At first glance i figured i'd blown the seals out of the turbo which shot oil up around the manifold and whatnot. But upon farther examination I see no oil coming from anywhere around the centersection. Back to the main point, whatever happened that caused this has caused my oil pressure to be severely low. I can start the car up and the needle on the oil pressure gauge will move about 1/8" and stay about right there even when rpms are increased. Did a compression check and everything came out fine on that end...this one's got me running around in circles trying to figure out...

IIRC the top manifold bolt for cylinder #2 goes into the head. If it's loose or unsealed it will leak oil. That's my guess for how it's spraying on the back side of the manifold.

Any oil puddles in the spark plug valley or on the underside of the hood?

No oil puddles in the spark plug valley, and strangely enough none on the underside of the hood. My first guess was the dipstick tube until i looked at the underside of the hood. There was even oil splattered up on top of the radiator tank on the driverside. Haven't had time to put a manual gauge on it yet but that's my next step. Then if that don't tell me what i want to know i'll drop the oil pan and look for pieces of oil pump...but that still wouldn't explain the oil on the manifold...damnit...see what i mean

Thats stock on 1g's!

Your valve cover gasket don't look the best, but I don't see how it would put that much oil all over you manifold and o2 housing!
Also, it looks like your missing a valve cover bolt, that can't be helping anything!

Looks like a dejon coated in almost chrome. I had one on my 2g when I had a 16g. Very nice piece, I had the one that when from 2" to 2.5" which was a bit more.

yeah looks like a bad valve cover gasket, and a missing valve cover bolt.

Alright so here's the update. Put a manual gauge on her the other day and she's got plenty of oil pressure. Once i saw that i took the oil cap off the valve cover and when i'd rev it it'd spit out out the top...good...alright. So i welded up some temporary exhaust and was going to take her out and see how she did...started her up and herd a kinda rattle squeaking sound coming from front of motor...ran up to engine compartment and said "OH $%^&!" immediately shut her off. Apparently while i've had her sitting on jack stands waiting for me to diagnose the oil psi issue something had gotten down into the front of the motor (since i don't run a timing gear cover) and when i started it chewed the inside of the timing belt up. Luckily i got her shut off before any damage was done. Typical dsm problems...so now i get to tare the front apart and while im in there going to finally get those balance shafts out...fun fun

Are you still losing oil?
