So I bought a car with a shit motor(an entirely different story). Bring it home and rebuild it. Install the motor and start it up. Little did I know I was getting 3 CEL's 13, 31, 21. Maf, knock sensor and Coolant temp wires(I think). All fixable. BUT, when I started it and as it ran for a few seconds I'm getting multiple clicks from the Fuel pump relay under the radio. The fuel pump is wired with a switch due to the dipshit PO.
Not sure if it's what's making it cut out, guessing it's mainly due to the maf since the throttle basically doesn't work. I swapped out the relay with another one and it's still doing it.... I'd like to figure out what's doing it so I can kick the fuel pump switch and make it factory again....
Here's what i'm talking about...

The connector on my MPI was melted causing intermittent connection to the relay. I cleaned it up and repositioned the pins in the plastic. It has not dropped out in a while. I have an emergency toggle switch wired up just in case however.

Huh?
My MPI relay was changed out with another one. No less tension than normal. Looked in good shape.

I never figured it out but the blinkers were also on the fritz. I decided to wire a relay into the ignition which didn't exactly work correctly because of what I've come to determine was a wrong dash wiring harness installed into the car previously. It was a nightmare and I sat on the car for MONTHS trying to flip it. I barely got out alive. The GI who bought it knew about all the problems and was particularly cocky. He decided he could fix it and I never heard back. I found the car on Craig's 6 months later... Said he was getting deployed. Doubt it was fixed.
