The car is a 95 tsi awd. I wanted to replace the tranny because of a bad second gear synchro. Ordered one off of dsm tuners from a guy and I found out that the mid-section of the tranny appeared to be from a 1g dsm, so drilled a hole in my mounting bracket to make it fit.
I got it all in with a new clutch and one new cv shaft and one new hub. So we went to start it after I was all done, started it and went to push the clutch and there was no pressure. The clutch isn't engaging all the way, you can shift it into all gears without it grinding, but if you try to go the clutch just starts slipping.
I have read all about slave cylinders and master cylinders and I dont think that is my problem. I have however bled the slave cylinder. Any ideas will be appriciated as I am just stumped. Also I cant get enough speed to even get out of first gear. It seems like the clutch isnt gripping (grabbing) the flywheel all the way.
On a side note if the car is in gear you can push it like its in neutral.
