Hey guys,

As some of you know, i just fixed my oil in coolant problem, it was a loose oil cooler shaft.
Yesterday, the car started acting up again
It wont go in gear with the clutch pressed in and car running. I can shut the car off and put it in any gear i want.
I tried adjusting the clutch but its the same.
Checked the tranny fluid and its full.
My throw out bearing is a year old and the clutch fork is more than a year old. I have had the car for 2 years now and i havent replaced the master or slave cylinder yet but there are no leaks...i should replace them very soon.
I have been hearing a small rattling that goes away with the clutch pressed in for the past 2 weeks, ever since i got the car running after the 6 bolt swap. Could it be what has caught up to me?
What could it be? I know some of you have had to have this problem so just post some of the symptoms and what it ended up being. Im leaning towards the clutch fork or throw out bearing.

Thanx for the help

ps: i will be searching as well but "fresh" answers are welcome.

Have you replaced the clutch itself? I had the same problems as you recently, my car would not go out of first gear unless turned off, and any gear would go in with the car turned off.

$400 later after the install, it was my clutch, went all away when replaced.

As far as the noise from the clutch pedal itself, is it a loud crack sound every time the pedal is depressed ? I also had the problem and just put some oil into the spring assembly on the clutch and the noise went away.

Clutch is a year old and its an act 2600. One of the springs was just a little loose on the disc when i had the tranny out a few weeks ago:shhh:

Any more ideas?

Two areas you have not tried yet.

1. The old rubber clutch line could be expanding under pressure resulting in lost of pressure.

2. Air in the system, properly flush and bleed the system like prescribed here.

Good luck.

I have an ss clutch line so number 1 is covered. I will bleed the clutch as soon as i can get back to my car...its a friends house. Thanx A BUNCH guys :thumb:
