Ok I have talked to some people about this problem and no one can give me a solid answer. Hoping someone can help. Ok here we go. I left my house a couble of days ago I backed out of my parking spot every thing was fine i left my street and got to the next stop sign and my car would not go in to gear i tried 1st and then 2nd it would not go. After sitting there for a couple of min it finaly went in to 3rd. So i got it back to my house and let it sit. The next day i went out to try to decipher the problem I got on it put it in gear and then started it every thing was fine. I drove it that day for about and hour and it never gave me a porblem. Now it s been fine utill this morning I left my house got about 5 miles from my house and the al of a sounden the clutch pedal became rock hard I could not move it at all. The car would not go in any gear at all. I pulled of to the side of the road and called my wife to come pick me up. When i realized that it was not very far of the road so i got back in and started it up and the clutch was fine again so i drove it back to my house about 5 miles and parked it but the whole ride back it was fine. I have a act 2600lb clutch that i but in with an exact fly wheel less than a year ago. I have maybe draged it 4 time since the clutch. I do drive it daily but it would not say I am real hard on it. the slave cylinder and master cilinder were replaced about 2 years ago with advance auto reman ass. Do you think it is the clutch the trans or hydrylic. Some one please help:dsm:

Did you check the slave and master for leakage? My bet is that it isn't in the hydralics though and something is going on inside. I hope that this isn't another case of the springs popping out of the 2600's.

there is no leaking. It seems to me though that recently the pedal pressure has been kind of weak. I checked the fluid and it is a little low. but not leaking. also the fluid seemed a little dirty it has not been changed for 2 years

:dsm: i have also noticed a slight pulse in the pedal when it is not fully engaged or disengaged

Readjust your pedal. It sounds like your pedal is misadjusted, causing the compensation port in the master to be in cut-off. The result is the hydraulics can pump up. This is possible or the accumilator (jug looking thing down on near the slave) is getting plugged.

Check RRE's site, they have some good info regarding 2G cars.

Hi,

Just one question about the 'pulse' feeling.. What gear does it do it in? Also when you mean pulse do you mean like the clutch surface is not even?? and bumpy?

it is in all gears it is when you have the clutch pedal partialy depresed between shifts and it is a slight vibration on the pedal that i can faintly feel on the bottom of my foot

It's just powertrain born noise and vibration that is transmitted through the hydraulics to the pedals. It'll always be there in one form or another.
