Yesterday, I put a 6 JDM motor motor in replacement of my 7 bolt that crankwalked on me. It ran perfectly all night and half the day today until it started slipping every once in awhile on me when I shifted it from park into drive or reverse. Never slipped on me while I was driving. Now that I got home and let it sit for awhile, I cranked it back up and it felt like it went in gear then started slipping again. I can turn the car off, let it sit for a minute, crank it back up, put it in gear really fast and it will pull for a few seconds, then stop pulling. If I change from reverse to drive or vica versa, it will not pull at all or even seem like it went into gear.

The filter and fluid was changed 1 or 2 months ago. The transmission probably has 5000 miles or less on it. Please help! I hope this does not involve a rebuild or a new tranny. It was working perfectly before I put this new motor in it.

FYI..... My car is a 94 A/T AWD TSI talon with a JDM 6 Bolt, Cyclone Intake. Still stock except for MBC

Anyone happen to know what may be my problem? I do not want to take it to a shop because I cannot afford to!

It sounds like either low line pressure(low fluid, failing pump, something clogged) or a bad shift servo. When you put it all together, did you make sure the torque converter was splined into the tranny completely? If it wasnt, the pump could have been damaged and causing the problems you are having.

would it happen to be happening if the Manual Valve pin is broken? Another thing I tried is to turn on my manual shift box and set it to 3rd gear. The transmission felt like it went into gear and held their without going back into neutral. I tried putting it back into reverse and nothing happened. No matter what I try, it will not go into reverse.

Sounds like you have more mods than just a jdm engine and mbc. What has been done to the tranny? We need to know these things to help figure out what the problem is. A manual shift box is far from being stock.
