So i got this car about a month ago.
Has built bottom end 6 bolt with 7bolt head 1mm over valves. Evo3 16g. My gauge reads 22psi, i am waiting on my new ecmlink cable to come in as the first one was ripped by the seat rails. Anyways i was under the impression you cannot turn up boost with out a mbc or ebc. I do how ever have a mbc but it is not hooked up. In a full pull it jumps to 14ish psi and then about half way thru the power band/pull it goes to 22psi. Im on e85 street tuned. Ets hard piping, forge bov, fuel lab afpr, walbro 255 pte 1000's . I am trying to figure out how previous owner has it set at 22psi. Like i said there is no mbc or ebc, car runs good and pulls hard. Btw the car is a 95 awd tsi and like i said has built 6bolt blocl with mildly built 7bolt head.

Hmm, i thought these were sealed wastegates?? Am i wrong? I had that in my thoughts, but was un sure.

Ill have to look before i to go work in a few min. I am juat curious that is al. Turbo, and manifold are coming off in a few weeks and going with hx40, differnet manifold ect and then more work getting done for spring time to get retuned

Sounds like boost creep. If you remove restriction in the exhaust, the stock wastegate port has lots of trouble controlling boost. What's your exhaust setup like?

Thermal research full turbo back 3"

Ok i guess i should re write this a little. It does move to 22psi that slow. It slows down at 12ish psi but keeps going FAST right to 22psi.

Im sorry for the miss understanding guys.
While in a full throttle pull, boost gauge moves quickly, slows down just a hair around 12psi or about 500rpms and then shoots to 22psi

If it is by chance boost creep. So im getting almost 10 psi of boost creep?

^ thanks sir.

Really was just curious. Cant wait to get this thing parked in the next couple of days and get going on the winter upgrades and then in spring retune by lilevo!
