stock springs which are fronts and which are backs???????

OK i have 3 springs from my 98 gsx and 4 from my 99 gsx and someone wants 2 front and 2 rear but i how do i tell them apart, the only difference i can tell is some have 8 rings and others have 7 does this make sense and which are which,if pic would help let me know and i will post them

The rear springs are narrow wire. You can compress them some when you lean on them. You won't move the fronts much.
