So iam getting the Gm Maf and i want to do the blow-thru setup and i have a KnN air filter that went on the stock maf and i want to be able to keep that filter without having to go out and buy another one. Is the i way i can ust remove the whole stock maf and be able to keep the housing to hold my knN filter? By the way this is for a 90 Gst

I'm sure you can just cut the plastic out, but it will be pretty primordial.

You need to be sure you're not going to use it ever again before you do any cutting. You might want to look into selling the whole stock maf/tube and buying an intake pipe for GM MAF applications. You will need to get a different filter, but it will be much better I think.

If you go the cutting route, make sure to get absolutely all pieces and debris out of there before reinstalling it. You don't want any plastic chunks going through your compressor.

Good luck!
