stock MAF bad?

I recently have been having what seems to be a "fuel cut" as i go past half throttle. I told a buddy of mine what it was doing and he seems to think it is the MAF. Now he told me to look for a corvette MAF, he said they work awesome on an eclipse, I have a 95' eclipse turbo w/ T-28 running around 13 psi. Is that sound like the problem and would a vette MAF work and perform good? I should probably let u know that I have stock fuel pump,stock injectors, and no FPR. What should I get or can anybody tell me what the problem is.. Thanks guys

If you want to run a GM MAF you need to buy a MAFT( mass air flow translator). I wouldnt look for a vette MAF though, cost more money, any 3" or 31/2" GM MAF will do. check out the list on the fisrt link below.

Before you go spending money, you might want to do a boost leak check. Sounds like a bad boost leak to me.

I Have the same problem but I threw a code...maf ground malfunction.... would mine be bad?

Try a different MAF if you have one around or can barrow one. It also wouldnt hurt to look at your MAF and make sure everything inside looks normal( no broken wires).

inside the maf? or the wires on the connector? which wire is the ground black?
