I have been searching far and wide for a stock looking (twin tipped) muffler for my custom exhaust on my 1G. I've searched the forum many times but haven't gotten many good results yet. I have found some dual tipped mufflers but they are usually only 2.25 inlet. I am looking for something that is twin tipped and has a 2.5 or 3 inch inlet. Can anyone help?

I picked up a 2.5" Straight through on E-bay that was made by 3A Racing for $60. It's stainless, so it's a bit shiney but looks good! :)

I just bought one on ebay. I have yet to install it. I paid about 40 bucks shipped. Looks great but I dont know what it sounds like yet. Wait about a week and i'll let you know. Anyway here is a pic of it. Its 2.5 inch inlet and 1.5 inch x2 outlet.

Wow that looks perfect but for $40 it may sound like ass :( Please post how it sounds as soon as you find out. Are there any other options out there?

I looked up the description up on summit for the 17793 and this is what it said:

Muffler, Super Turbo, 3 in. Inlet/3 in. Outlet, Aluminized Steel, Each

That doesn't sound like what I'm looking for. Do you have any pics?

Got the exhaust today but I cant install it till saturday. Just wanted to show you pics of what it looks like. I'm very happy with what I got and it was deinfitly what I was looking to get! Cant wait to install it! This is whats on there now. Its loud and ugly.

The guys name on ebay is Koaim1 if you guys want to know. I bought it for about $36.00 bucks shipped. Came in a reasonable amount of time. Also the racing stripes are gone as well as the bumper sticker and all decals the previous owner put on.

I plan on just getting a normal looking turbo muffler with single 3"in/outlets from maybe summit or a local muffler shop, then just getting a tip that turns it into 2 tips. I found a nice DIY on how to make an exhaust online, and he did exactly that. Here's a couple pictures of it. Good luck!!

This is exactly what i've been looking for! can anyone conferm that those bends are infact theones you need to construct a O2 sensor housing back exhaust system for a 1992 plymouth laser rs turbo??

I'm not sure if that number is right... The first number is for the "Header Mount" but the second number "17674" looks like the right one. If you look at the way the page is layed out, they list the in/out, body length and muffler size for the part number "17674".

you're right, even the description is the correct one OMG

That muffler however is made for dual exiting exhaust and not for putting tips on it. Notice how wide the exit ports are.

My setup is on the pricier side with a dynomax ultraflow from summit ($70) and a set of dual 3" slash tips from hooker ($35). the mounting needs some work (angled and hangs too low) but i may ditch it eventually for an N1 style setup so if anyone has a 2.5" N1 canister and wants a more stock look pm me.

If you're talkin about the link I posted up, then that is exactly what you need for an AWD 92 turbo laser. If it's FWD, then of course it will be different. But if you're AWD, then just follow those steps.

OK I just saw you are AWD in your car description. Then those are the bends you need. I can't confirm the part numbers, but that doesn't matter. Just follow the description of the bends, and go to like JC Whitney, or RRE's site and just order the same size bends that he says to use.

I installed my exhaust today. Boy was I happy! Its exactly the style I was looking for and it isnt loud at all. I love it! I would post videos or something but I dont have anything that can record. 1-10 Satisfaction for sound I give it a 10 and for looks I give it about an 8. I would definitly recommend this exhaust! :thumb:

Remus is supposidly (sp) the best muffler. The universal does not fit an RS/GS not too sure about the TSi/GS-T and GSX. Remus makes a specific one for our cars.

Remus exhaust is uber expensive though. I remember looking into ordering a full remus exhaust for my breeze when I was modding that (chrysler stratus in europe, used in supertouring, that's why I was lookin into it for my breeze), and just the axle back was between 400 and 500. I honestly don't think it'd be worth it on a dsm. Remus does make some really great products for many european N/A cars tho.

i replied to a thread like this before but i cant find it. so ill just post everything again
Kteller's website has these exhaust in 2.25, 2.5, and 3" INLETS and available in 2.5" and 3" outlets.
