I got a non EGR manifold with my car when I purchased it over a year ago. Decided to do some port work and bore/sand out the TB flange for a 1G TB I've rebuilt. Now its time for everything to go on, but it isn't cast with the MAP sensor flange like the one currently on the car. Also, is this manifold off of a later 4G63 or a 4G64?

The stock one is obvious, with a small hole leading into the plenum.

Now to keep it simple, is there any other way(other than machining my own adapter/boss), to mount the sensor? Another remote MAP sensor that can be rewired in and will work with the stock ECU?

I've seen this nifty little item from Magnus, but the price to me, is a turnoff. Magnus DSM / EVO Remote Map Sensor Boss | Magnus Motorsports

I would assume that it came from a jdm galant or something like that because of the lack of egr, but that would just be a guess.

Well then, that works for me. I don't mind the check eng light on, its registered where emissions aren't required.

The check engine light is the only negative effect of removing it but if you ever get ecmlink you can have it eliminate that too. The MDP is not an MAP sensor its just there as part of the EGR system so if you remove or block off the EGR there is no need for it.

Sweet, glad I didn't order the adapter today. Also wasn't sure what it was referred to exactly. Will be getting Link when the build goes underway.

Still am curious to find out what it came off of though.
