I've seen t3t4s and a t4s turbos that bolt on to our stock manifolds, how much can our stock manifolds handle w/o cracking? is this a good setup for a person to go with a budget or will it hurt me in the end? :confused:
 
I'm not yet experienced with the DSM world of cracking manifolds, but to not put too fine a line on it- get a 2nd gen, and be happy.

Until you manifold is a larger restriction than your turbine, you're doing okay. Tubular manifolds and such rarely offer more than 5% power gain IF that. Your exhaust is under pressure between the head and the turbo, and all you are going to do with another manifold type is either be slightly stronger, or increase diameter which means you have a larger area to fill, and will drop velocity- it's a give and take game- but the end all is "if you manifold isn't restricting as much as your turbine, you're probably fine."
 
i've seen a t4 turbo that bolts on to my stock manifold and O2 housing for $876. does this sound good?
 
depends - what is the turbine A/R? What is the rated flow? how is it wastegated -internally or externally?
You could pick up a 20G for that... money well spent
