I am sure this is somewhere on here but must not be a post on just t4 manifolds. i have tried searching but i get build thereds and info on the best stock manifold....

so my question is what is the best t4 manifold for the money. i would like maybe a list of 5 or so that is currently a good buy. it will be used with a 60-1 on a 9-1 2.0..

i did find a post from 2005 but im sure quality has changed or a new vendor has come out..

are the dnp or dark performance ones any good.

Personally, for reliability and performance, accounting for cost, I'd go with this one

Cast manifold, so durable and the price is comparable to the tubular ones.

Dnp and dark perf. Both look similar, and kinda cheesy. There was the jmf top mount and punishment racing pieces, that would be great, but they are both over 800. For the price, I say the erl cast is a good price at around 550. And no, I'm not a voucher, nor have I used erl. But I know a good price when I see one.:thumb:

I run the dark performance divided t4 manifold on my car and its a great manifold especially for the price. Only problem I had was I had to take it back to MAP to get one of the running dented in a little by the head so I could get the nut on as it was too much of an incline to thread the nut on. Other than that, the manifold has been working great.

I see some no name ebay brands on ebay for around $150. They are tubular mani's and might crack after a while but nothing $10 and a good welder can't fix. I ran an ebay tubular mani for two hard years and didn't have any problems with cracking. Put your money towards something more productive.

I don"t beleve erl makes a t4 manifold, and I"d stay away from dnp, cheap quaility and known to crack..I"d look into jmf, redjack, shearfab.. redjack being the best priced if prices concern you..

The hyper link I posted above says t3/t4. Not sure if they mean a hybrid or not, but that's why I looked at it. Idk if its a twinscroll either, but it was a quick Google. The dark performance manifold I saw had horrible welded and bad inside finish with a couple leak points at the inside of he collector. I haven't used it but me freind from orofino showed me his and I wasn't impressed.

Neway, good luck:thumb:

Let us know what you end up deciding on. I, too, am in the market for a new manifold.
