Well my friends TSI has a stock 1g manifold modded for a t3/t4 turbo, he just welded on a t3/t4 turbo plate? to where the stock one attached to the turbo and he welded a 35mm wastegate flange on it to, has anyone done this? Is it worth it?

You can do that.

They sell the flanges on RRE's website.


As long as the weld is good it shouldn't leak.
