stock manifold w/pyrometer to headers?

i have a stock exhaust manifold with a pyrometer sensor installed. i'm looking into getting headers either these or these but i do not know where to put the sensor or will i just loose it? thanks

First off are cars dont have headers/header. We have a manifold, and what your looking at buying is a tubular manifold. Both off those manifold are junk. I wouldnt waste my money. If you want a good tubular manifold thats going to last and not crack your going to be spending atleast $400+. Just ported your 2G manifold and call it good, spend the money on something else.

Since I am sure the previous post was not an answer to your question and you are probably going to purchase one of those tubular manifolds, the probe still is placed in the #1 exhaust runner. The EGT kit should have come with a nifty hose clamp-looking band of steel and insert that allows you to drill a small hole in the manifold and insert the probe. You will have to look into finding a kit such as this if you do not have it. If you want one of those manifolds, buy one. It will probably crack but until it does rock out and pop your hood everywhere.

i conclude that there is no benefit to tubular manifolds (not headers) other than visual aspect, wasting my money, and them cracking on me eventually . much thanks for the advice and will not pursue this pointless modification.

No, some tubular manifolds do offer a performance gain - they're not all just for looks. Boost92awd's post is accurate.
