Leamington,
i heard that exaust manifolds are the same thing as headers but im not sure cause i look in the parts catalog and it looks like the same part....so my question is....is an exaust manifold the same as a header

Headers is more of a term used for non turbo applications and exhaust manifold more for turbo applications.

A header is more known in the performance/aftermarket society. While the exhuast manifold is usually used on regular cars(non performance/grocery getter)...

It would be funny to hear a performance guy say I went and got a exhuast manifold for my race car. Most would say I got a performance header....

I've always believed that a header is tubular & a manifold is cast, in exhausts anyway.
