hi to everyone, my car is having problems lattely when i acelerate a lot (5x1,000 rpm) it trows smoke through exhaust manifold gasket under the 1st cylinder, also my turbo is set to boost 10 psi now is only boosting 5 and when my turbo kicks in my car runs like shit it bugs out like if it would need more gas, i think is because of the exhaust leack im planing on changing the gasket can anyone please send me the steps so i can change the exhaust manifold gasket if anybody has a comment please make it it would help a lot thank you very much.

by the way my car is a talon tsi 1995.

thank oyu very much :thumb:

Go ahead and do the exhaust manifold gasket and turbo gasket at the same time, start by loosening the 3 bolts/1 nut that hold the factory turbo on to the manifold, once those are off, pull the 9 exhaust manifold nuts, 2 14mm on the ends, and the rest take a 12mm.

next will be a pain in the ass if your turbo still has that one factory stud in it, since the stock turbo on a 2g has a hard metal oil feed line you have to be careful not to bend or break the feed line, its pretty weak, but you'll have to work the exhaust manifold back enough to clear it from the studs on the head, then pull it straight up, remove gaskets, replace, and do the reverse for bolting it all back up.. I may be forgetting some things since its late, but thats the basic gist..
