To any one that has ran a forced performance cast exhaust manifold what kind of power can you get through these exhaust manifolds. Im planning on buying one soon if I can get 550 awhp through one that's ported by them. I really like there design and the fact that there cast I do not really want to run a tubular manifold because this car will not be a strip car.

Got one and i love it. Running over 22 psi at the moment, spoolup is great, no cracks, leaks, or any issues whatsover. As far as horsepower, well im sure it can handle over 500, lots of people are running this manifold with Holsets and other forcedperformance turbos. I think there is a sale on it right now for 175 or 150 with a turbo purchase.
I dont think it gets any better as far as a cast manifold goes, and if you can get it ceramic coated would be better since stock heat shield does not fit over it.

If the stock 2G manifold can handle 9's, I'm sure the FP manifold can handle whatever you throw at it. You lose some bottom end over the stock manifold, but nothing to write home about. It's a good, quality piece.

I personally think its the best cast manifold for the money. OP, tubular manifolds aren't exactly for strip use only, they just seem more prone to cracking compared to cast. :thumb:

Thanks a lot for all the info guys and my main purpose for the car will be to transform it into a rally car that hits the streets for a cruise every few weekends. Also want it to be scca legal im going to have a lot to do but ive built many n/a dirt cars so i fully understand the work that needs done as far as making the car legal safe and have excellent handeling. The bad part is ive got very little experience with turbo cars but ive been learning quick my motor will be a 2.4 stroker with a set of manley 10.5: 1 pistons. I already have the motor but its got to much compression for a turbo car thats the reason for the manley pistons. With all that being said what turbo would you guys recommend i know i want it to spool quick and not push a bunch of boost.

Im assuming you are looking for more power on low end torque. With the 2.4L and high comp pistons, that should be no problem. You have many options , whats your max budget for a turbo?
You can get fp 68hta or Fp black..the 68hta is a sleeper stock appearing..Im using that and spool is awesome ! The wastegate actuator comes at 14 psi and if thats all you want, 2.4 should get that around 3000 rpm, good tune, good fuel of course.
Fp black flows more to 68lb/min and more room for the future. Both are going for like 800 bucks.. There are more options or ball bearing, depends on your budget and goals.

You are 100% correct on why i got the 2.4 setup plus it will have more of a true powerband. I already have the motor but its currently set up as a N/A motor in my dirt car. Im putting lower compression pistons in (currently running 370psi of compression across the board LOL) Manley has the exact pitons I want for a little under $500. I have looked at the fp blacks thinking for hours about it. Now what else I was wondering is how much faster a ball bearing turbo will spool. This will be a two year build that way I can get exactly what I want so and the budget wont matter so much.
