Is the exaust manifold gasket in the 1992 eclipse the kind that you just reuse the gasket clean it off then reuse it if you take the manifold off and put it back on?

Earlier 90-94 (1G) cars had fiber gaskets, I'm not sure about '92. Find out first, then if you have a metal/steel gasket, you can reuse it. You could look around the edges of the header where it bolts to the engine and possibly tell if you have a metal (you should see edges of metal gasket overlapping) or fiber one. If you call or stop by a dealer, they should be able to tell you. Possibly some auto store will tell you as well--just ask them too look up the price for the gasket for your car, it should say what type of gasket.

Get a replacement metal gasket here: http://machv.com/1ginmaga.html I'm sure you can find it cheaper elsewhere.
