edmonton,
I was never able to really see the difference until I actually bought the slowboy manifold. I though some people may find this usefull to really see what the actuall difference is between the 2.

The slowboy manifold has been fully ported and the 1g manifold is completely stock.

As everyone knows much thicker flange on the slowboy

do I need a special gasket or does stock one work, ....the gasket between the runners and head, not turbo gasket as a new one came with it.

Yup I have the same manifold, It's amazing. Also, You can use the mitusibhi metal exhaust manifold gasket, It's like two layres or something, The wholes are a direct match fo the runners on the exhaust manifold. I'm sure a felpro might also be the same, But I chose to go with the mitsubishi one. :)

Sorry I cant give an accurate answer as to the notice in power gains, Because I also put on a t04b vtrim, It is very nice though.. And I think it was well worth the price :) Also, You are going to hafto gring down the one side a bit.. The drivers side, Side. I went to install it, And then had to do that.. So I figured i'd let you know before you try to install it :)

Grind what down, the flange? And what part, not the mounting face I'm sure, probably just an edge that interferes with something, perhaps the power steering pump mounting bracket (since it's the driver's side). More info please.

I did not have to grind down the slowboy manifold flange at all on my Talon. A pic of it installed with a 20G:

It is a Buschur cylinder head, I swore it was straight from the factory when i opened the box, it was so clean.
