Do I need to worry about anything since I just cut off my cat with a Sawz-All (sp) besides the normal emissions and loud noise? Should I route the pipe out the side of the car?

PS. This has been done to my winter beater '91 Laser RS Turbo. I will be parting it out in the summer so there is no need for another emissions test.

the only thing you may have to worry about is exhaust leaking inside the car. Maybe if you route it out the side or something you shouldn't have that problem. It shouldn't mess up anything regarding your engine

Sorry to jump in.... I was thinking on opening my 3" DP just to use it only on the 1/4mi drag races.... will this make my car run faster??? can It be risk or dangerous runing my car like this???

In both cases no danger, just make sure you don´t get fumes inside. Also, thast going to be loud.

you loose back pressure.....your take off wouldnt be as fast but a highway run would be faster.

you need a certain amount of backpressure, with no exhaust you will be slower on take off.....I can feel it on my eclipse and on a nsx, I took the exhaust off both and you can feel the slower take off. But on the highway you'll be faster cause the exhaust gets out so fast

anyway, maybe it will help if the take off is slower... I mean for those of us running on a FWD, will be ok if the take off is a little bit solwer and faster at top end... I guess I will be getting better 1/4mi times.:rocks:
