Does anyone know the length of the stock downpipe?? I was trying to put on my exhaust yesterday and when I found out my new downpipe came up about 4 inches short!!

I measured the stock one and it was about 58" from the center of the o2 housing flange to the end of the cat.

I'm trying to figure out whether there is a mistake with my new downpipe, or the shop that installed the turbo for the previous owner lengthened it when they did their $$90 worth of "exhaust modification" to make the stock exhaust system fit their custom o2 housing.

Everybody loves pics!

The top one is the stocker that I believe has the "modification" done to it, I'm not sure however. The bottom one is my new one, straight outta the box. You can see that the new downpipe is clearly shorter then the stock downpipe and cat by a bit. It is a Punishment-Racing downpipe.

I have heard nothing but great things about their products, so I'm assuming the downpipe is the correct length and size and that something is a bit screwy with my o2 housing/stock exhaust with "modifications"

I would like to hear if anyone knows what the length of the stock DP and cat is before I go making phone calls. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Had the same problem if this is a 2g, gonna have to take it to an exhaust shop and have it welded. And that stock exhaust isnt modified, I just cut mine apart yesterday. Exact same thing.
