downpipe length question

Is it true most aftermarket 3" downpipes are longer than the stock downpipe, to eliminate the cat? are all aftermarket downpipes atleast somewhat bigger than the stock downpipe?

I think I have a long 3" downpipe but I'm not sure. Does anyone know a way to tell? This is for an AWD

I think its the same length actually. And usually the catback has an adapter for it.

There are two different versions. One that is longer and eliminates the cat.And the other one when most people just put on test pipe.

Just grab a tape measure a check

Test pipe is about 15 inches long.I'm too lazy to grab the tape measure right now.So if there is an extra 15 inches it probably deletes the cat.

alright thanks everyone I'm postive now I have a longer downpipe now, after comparing it to my stock exhaust. If it measures any different than the extra 15" mentioned I'll post about it.
