Ok I just got my beautiful 1999 Spyder GS-T. I had a 1999 GS before this BIG difference I love it ok :)

My plans where straight forward but I had some changes since I decided kinda what I want the car to have in the engine and want to buy my stuff kinda all at once so I know I won't have problems later with things not fitting or buying something before hand that I will not use later on.

I plan on doing basically the whole intake, FMIC, blow-thru setup first. This will not able me to increase boost so no need for new boost gauge or manual boost control yet but proble soon to come mabye next step after exhaust.

My car is basically 50% engine 50% style. Im not all 100% engine upgrades since this is a daily driver and I like some style. Reasons for the so soon FMIC is because of style but also performance at the same time and I want it all to be done in 1 step so insure it all works out in the end. So here it is.

All this stuff is from DEJON tools products.

Big "Race" FMIC Kit - Dynoed to 670whp
This kit is on Dejon tools page it gives me everything I need for the FMIC and to add the GM MAS to the UICP and with the Greddy BOV flange.

GM MAS 3"
GM Translator

2gQ No MAS, VPC or "Blow Thru" Curved Intake Pipe
I will proble upgrade from the T25 to the T28 not a huge upgrade but like I said not looking for huge huge engine upgrade. This will also be 3"

K&N 3" Cone AF 6"dia x 6" lg recommended for CIP-2gQ
This will be for the intake pipe it was recommended so I thought it would fit.

And of course the Greddy RS BOV to top it off.

All this comes to around 1,400 dollars. Is this worth it for my outlook of the car? Or is this a total overkill as in will it just hurt me more then help me? And if this all looks good I will buy it all at once and make a few days of putting it together.

Thanks! Sorry for newbish question but I just kinda want to make 100% what I get is what I need and that it all works out and fits each other. I think it does :)

Thanks

Well, what kind of HP would you like to put down with it in the long run? There is no need for the GM Maf-t unless you are maxing out your stock MAF. If you do plan on upgrading to a larger turbo and all that accompanies it, then sure a MAF-t can be useful. Also, I would think about getting a logger and maybe an SAFC so you can get the MAFT setup and tuned properly. Might not be totally needed at this point, but I'd think about it. :dsm:

Well first do a boost leak test to make sure the car is running at its best. Pick up a boost gauge and controller. Since the 2g stock bov is worthless I wouldn't think its a bad idea to upgrade with a MAF-T setup and FMIC, but remember the T to small (T25) likes to run out of breath around 15psi. You could unplug the BCS and get a couple more psi, but I wouldn't do that without a logger to make sure your engine likes the change. :thumb:

PS congrats on the new car.

Im looking for around 300hp not wanting to go much higher but mabye later on thats my goal for now though. Im doing basically all this to have the FMIC, the hard intake pipes and hard UICP and LICP, K&N filter and to vent the BOV to the atmosphere.

In the end im proble going with a T28 turbo or mabye a Big 16g for later on.
I want to get the intake and exhaust done before I start uping the boost. When the time comes to upgrade the boost I was going to get the boost controller and the gauges at the same time.
