Stock 1G intercooler piping on a 2G with 16G

Will the 1G inter-cooler piping from turbo to SMIC, fit on a 2G with a 16G installed on it, going to stock 2G SMIC?

I realize anything could fit with enough tinkering, but I want to know if things will line up fairly close so it will have a "stock" appearance.

I have the stock intake system on my 2G from the air filter to turbocharger now(T-25). I will be replacing the T-25 with a s16G and the 1992 AWD talon I took the s16G off of has OEM piping from turbo to the 1G inter cooler. I can get it pretty cheap..$10.

I'll let someone confirm, but I don't think that 1g piping is gonna fit a 2g.

You think its going to hit the air intake? Appears that the 1G and 2G SMIC inlet are in approximately the same location.

It more than likely would, but the losses you would see from it would be enough to not do it. The stock 2g piping and elbow are a lot bigger in diameter.

If youre keeping the upper IC pipe and elbow stock 2g and run the 1g "J pipe" and tube to the stock 2g SMIC I dont see why it wouldnt work. It might interfere with the stock 2g intake w/ filter but you might be able to make it work. Only way to tell would be to mock it up in person, unless someone here on the forums has done it in the past.

I would look for you because my 92 awd is stock but my 2g has a FMIC :/

Hell if you can get the entire IC piping from the 1g for 10$ then its worth it if it comes with the 1g BOV. Keep it as a back up or sell it for 20$
