So 3 weeks ago I brought the car to my guy for this ticking sound. He changed the lifters (not sure what brand LOL, i requested to use the STMtuned ones but i guess he said F those) and also changed worn out seals on the valve cover.

I get the car back and he said since it’s aftermarket it’s still gonna kinda tick and I’m like no the ticking sound should be gone which is why i STILL feel no power past 3700/4000 RPM. I went back literally this morning and he said “ohhhh it’s your turbo. It spools but it doesn’t hold it properly anymore. Just buy a turbo 16g, 18 or 20 whatever you want” I know he’s full of shit when i asked “don’t i need to upgrade a lot more parts for the air flow too then like a FMIC and fuel” he said no.

So please can someone help me as to why my car is still ticking AND not pulling still even with fresh oil and new lifters?

Engine/turbo is stock besides k&n air filter and apexi n1 exhaust. Oil changed 4weeks before the lifter change.

What is your oil pressure like?
