Status block and evo head?

I have a 420a talon That is super slow and i dont wont to turbo it becuase of the high compression, so one of my friends said i could put a evo head on a stratus block and it should fit in my car. first off is this true? if true what evo head i know i will need a new trans but what else? my dad and i were looking to make a project out of it he knows quite abit about the tsi (9 to 8 sec 1/4) but he said to look into it so please help!!!!!

Evo head.. you won't need it, and it won't work

Get a 2.4L stratus block, 420a head will bolt on. Get some srt-4 pistons and rods and all other needed swap necessities, and there you go. Going to take more than place and go just so you know. (Motor mount fab, oil pan mod so exhaust will fit, and megasquirt for tuning, and etc..)

It's been done and proven a lot. Just need to research and plan a goal before you go all nuts and want to put a bastard type evo engine in

Edit - 420a head is the best part of our engine fyi. It's the rods that are too weak and compression is to high for turbo (irrelevant but thought I'd mention so you get the evo head shit out of your mind!)

Stock compression on our cars is 9.6 I think..
