My car is a 97 GST with a 95 2ga engine swapped into it.everything is just about new.I tried starting my car with every time I started it only runs for 3 to 5 seconds and shuts off it throughs a cel a check engine light and it showed me two codes when I put the odb2 reader on it at the mechanic shop.
Codes:
P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor
P0115 Coolant Temperature Sensor

I had the camshaft position sensor replaced at the mechanic shop with a new one and it is still doing the same thing. Can I get any help from anyone please. I do have a new coolant temperature sensor. Will replacing that do any better?
new, if I do replace that will that even help?

Coolant temp sensor will kill them motor if bad. And 95 use a diff style cas than the 97. Are you sure you wired it up right.

We wired in the cam angle sensor from the 95 engine to the 97 harness and swapped plug wires I'll send you some pictures. Just to as a question also in the pictures where should the 95 cam angle sensor be wired in at?
With The 97 harness? (In one of the pictures I cut a 95
cas plug off of a wire harness so I wouldn't have to cut the new cam angle sensor).

The first two pictures are where the cas would be on the 97 engine passenger side, do I wire the 95 CAS over there or do I wire it in on the 3rd and 4th pictures over there? my crank position sensor is plugged up over there untouched. so do I cut the wire plug above where the cas should go? The one with the green, black and white one that Im holding in my hand on the last picture (Triangular Plug). do I cut that one and wire it in there?
