Im starting my car after it sitting for 4months out in this cold weather. Im going to push it into my garage and heat it up and change the oil and the fluids. Is there any other steps i should take before starting the car? thanks alot!

see if your battery is charged, check your plugs, tap the air filter, pop some injector cleaner in the fuel tank, ext. just the normal little tune up things. 4 months really isn't long enough to really need extensive things done to it to fire her up. ( like draining the fuel and putting new fuel and stuff) you should be fine;):talon:

Not sure on the 1g, but I know that you can disable the spark/injectors without disabling the starter (the "ENGINE" fuse on a 2g). Figure that out and turn the motor over in 10-15 second spurts about 10 times with breaks in between (don't overheat the starter) to get all of the bearings primed and wet and build a bit of oil pressure. Probably still want to change the oil before this. When you finally start the motor, don't blip the throttle if possible. Just get it to start and idle and build oil pressure before you increase the load on the bearings or spool up the dry turbo by revving it.

MPI fuse is on the battery on the 1g. I would have jumper cables set up, and I turn it over for about a 6-10 seconds and do it a couple times till I get that oil pressure going and to not cook the starter.

like he said. I let mine sit a year with old cam 2 in it; made sure there were no rats in the filter checked the oil and bam started right up
