starter issues

i have a 95 gst that got a engine rebuild over the winter... finally this week the motor is back in and everything is hooked up so we can start it up... im having 2 issues...

1. i dont remember how the starter gets wired up.... as in which side is positive and ground or if the ground even goes to the starter... i have a wire from my positive battery hookup that goes does to the starter as well as a ground wire off the battery hookup for the negative side.

2. im having some trouble bleeding the clutch... it doesnt feel like its building up a lot of pressure or coming back as far as it should.

any thoughts guys?

there are two cable that go to the starter. there's a plug and the circle one that gets secured on by a nut

the ground gets put onto the bolt the secures the started to the tranny (the bolt that is farther back into the motor and should be lower then the other starter bolt)

i'll double check in the morning but that should be right

also for your clutch pressure problem
check your master and slave cylinders
try adjusting your clutch as well
